Shoebox Valuations charges $49 per pound of cards based on total weight when your shipment arrives—not per card. This covers photographing every card, AI identification and valuation, and your online report. Inbound shipping to Shoebox Valuations is paid by the customer. Return shipping is paid by the customer and selected at checkout before cards are sent back.

Card counts per pound vary by thickness and card type. Many standard sports and TCG collections fall around 400–500 cards per pound. A typical shoebox is often about 2–3 lbs of cards. Premium stock or memorabilia cards weigh more per card.

What types of trading cards does Shoebox Valuations accept?

Cards in any condition are accepted — loose, sleeved, or in binders. The only exclusion is already-graded slabs (PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC).

(4) You receive an email when your online report is ready — log in to see every card with its photo and estimated value. (5) Card by card, choose to return or donate each one. Return shipping is selected and paid at checkout before cards are sent back; donated cards go to youth programs and children's hospitals.

Can I choose which cards to keep and which to donate?

Yes. After viewing your valuation report online, you can make decisions card by card. You can keep the valuable ones, donate the common bulk cards, or any combination. The option to donate only appears after you've seen the valuations — you're never pressured to donate before knowing what your cards are worth.

What happens to donated cards?

Donated cards go directly to vetted youth programs: after-school sports leagues, children's hospitals, school libraries, and card collecting clubs for kids. A donation receipt can be provided upon request.
